Nollywood’s very own Yul Edochie has weighed in on the ongoing saga between the famous Okoye brothers, Peter and Paul, aka P-Square, as the drama continues to make headlines and stir up emotions across Nigeria.
Yul, known for his no-nonsense approach and deep wisdom, took to Instagram on Thursday to share his thoughts on the matter. He wasn’t holding back either, serving up some serious truth about family, peace, and the need for distance—sometimes.
Reflecting on the complexities of family ties, Yul dropped a bombshell that not everyone might be ready to accept: “Sometimes real peace comes from staying apart.
He pointed out that while the idea of Peter and Paul reuniting brings joy to many, the reality might not be that simple. According to Yul, forcing closeness where there’s tension might do more harm than good, and sometimes, the best way to keep the peace is to give each other some breathing room—or even block each other entirely if necessary.
Yul shared, “I see people say, Rudeboy, go and make peace with your brother, Mr. P. I just laugh. Many people still don’t understand what life is about. Sometimes real peace comes from staying apart. Sometimes even some family members have to be blocked to achieve peace.”
The actor further emphasized that mental health should be a priority, even if it means staying apart. He advised that it’s better to live peacefully and happily, even from a distance, rather than being too close and risking unnecessary stress or even health issues.
Yul wrapped up his heartfelt message by stating, “Block anybody that needs to be blocked so you can have peace; don’t look back. Fight for yourself. Stay alive. It’s good to see P-Square together, but if they have to stay apart to be happy and alive for us, let them stay apart. We love them regardless.”
It’s clear Yul is speaking from experience, understanding that while unity is important, it’s also crucial to know when to step back and protect your peace. Whether or not the Okoye brothers will take this advice to heart remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: Yul Edochie isn’t afraid to keep it real.
So, what do you think? Should P-Square follow Yul’s advice and keep their distance, or is it time for the brothers to make up for good? Share your thoughts in the comments!
